Within Secondary, students have
opportunities to tap into the services offered by the Careers Advisor. Students
may be interested in alternative pathways such as Distance Education, Tafe (TVET)
or Language courses. Students may also want to discuss post school
opportunities such as University, College or Apprenticeships etc. Setting goals
and forecasting student achievement is also a valuable tool which can aid
students work towards a target, whether that is a desired ATAR or HSC result.
This year, both Year 10 and Year 12
will be attending Career Expo days.
Year 10 will travel to the Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park, to take part
in the HSC Careers Expo, held on
Thursday 2nd of June. This day will allow them to explore subject
choices for their HSC as well as look into post school university options and
requirements.
Year 12 will travel to Sydney
Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, on Friday 17th June to visit the Western Sydney Careers Expo. Here they
will be able to observe and take part in a number of seminars and exhibits
which will cover many post school opportunities.
