Medicine???

If your keen to study in the area of Medicine or Health after school, you may want to consider sitting a UMAT tests. This test can aid in your entry to courses of a Medical nature. There is a poster and brochure in the library for the test, or alternatively you can check it out online at; umat.acer.edu.au

UWS Business

UWS have just launched a campaign promoting their business courses.

"Do you have a Brain for Business", includes a business specific website and DVD (i've put it in the library). If your interested in studying business after school, make sure you check out the site at; www.businessbrain.com.au

Think: Education Group

Think: is a group of higher education providers that includes places like;

Billy Blue - Design College, APM - College of Business and Communication, William Blue - College of Hospitality and Tourism and the Jansen Newman Institute.

These guys have just released their series of prospectus' and brochures. I have placed them all in the library for you!

These days are great opportunities to check out the private colleges, so you don't make a call before you know what's going on. Check em out!

Tax File Numbers

If you wish to apply to get your Tax File Number, application forms are always available from me. All you have to do is fill them out and return them, and then a month or so later, you'll get your number in the mail.

ACU Dates of Interest

Australian Catholic University have released their dates for the various events they are holding this year.

North Sydney Open Night - September 9, from 5:00pm

Strathfield Open Day/Night - September 12, from 10:00am

Early days yet, but maybe one to put in the diary for later.

Degree in a Day

The University of Sydney is hosting days in which you can go along and check out what being in a Uni course is like, they call them "Degree in a Day".

The days will take place from Wednesday the 15th until Friday the 17th of April.

If you are interested, there are brochures in the library or you can log on and register at;

to log on, you will need to put in the username 'degreeinaday' and use a password, e232 for wednesday, e233 for thursday and e234 if you wish to go on the friday.

This year’s AMA (NSW) / NSW Health Medical Careers Exhibition for medical students and junior doctors has been opened to Year 12 High School Students who are considering medicine as a career.
