Entries close 25th November.
This competition provides young people aged 12-25 with the opportunity to showcase their talent as a designer and to win a $1,000 cash prize. The winning design will be used to brand Youth Week 2014 in NSW.

Greening Australia: Western Sydney 2014 Work Placement Program
Greening Australia are looking for people aged 16 to 23 who have a genuine interest in outdoor learning, environmental restoration, horticulture, nursery activities or landscaping. They will work with Greening Australia in Oxley Park and Richmond to develop practical work-based skills in environmental restoration, regeneration and community extension.

Flinders University: Rural and Isolated Student Access Scheme
Flinders allocates bonus points to year 12 students who attend a rural and isolated school in South Australia and Interstate. If you are attending a school that is provided on the list available at the website you automatically receive 8 bonus points in addition to the university aggregate. If your school is not on the list, you may still be eligible but just have to apply before Friday 13th December 2013.

University of Sydney: NCSS Summer School

The National Computer Science School (NCSS) is a ten day summer school bringing together young people in years 11 and 12 from around Australia for an intensive course of computer programming and website development. The course is residentially based at the University of Sydney with academic staff, alumni and students organising the course.

The United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney is offering a history course for Year 11 & 12 students that will provide students with credits towards a degree at the University of Sydney. The course is also endorsed as a HSC course by the Board of Studies NSW. The course is entitled ‘America: Prophecy, Power, Politics’ and covers an overview of major issues in contemporary and historical American society, politics and culture.
